Dear Library Supporter:
Did you know that the Bangor Public Library serves not just residents of Bangor Borough, but also residents of East Bangor, Lower Mount Bethel, Portland, Roseto, Upper Mount Bethel, and Washington Township? In 2013, over 31,000 people came through the doors of the Bangor Library. They checked out 40,500 books, DVDs, audiobooks, etc. and used our two free public computers 3,368 times. That’s a lot of activity for one small public library!
This year’s campaign seeks to raise funds so that we can continue to provide, and to grow, the services Bangor Library offers. For example, it will help us continue our monthly cultural and literary programs for all ages, including the summer reading program for youth. Some of the funds will keep our 124 year old building in good shape, update our technology, and buy new library materials for you to check out and enjoy.
Thank you for your past support of the Bangor Public Library. We hope this letter will encourage your continued support with a tax-deductible donation. Our goal is to serve the growing reading, reference, and informational needs of all residents in our service area. Thank you for helping us to meet that goal.
